MEVO+ or SkyTrak?

Which is the better launch monitor – the MEVO+ or SkyTrak? And what exactly is a launch monitor?

A launch monitor is a device that provides real-time, comprehensive data about every shot you take, delivering insights into key metrics such as clubhead speed, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and shot dispersion. With this wealth of information at your fingertips, you can pinpoint areas of improvement in your swing and make precise adjustments to optimize your performance on the course.

You can pay anything from €500 (MEVO) upwards of €20,000 (Uneekor EYE XO) for a launch monitor. Of course the more you spend, the better the graphics and the more analysis it will give you but for most golfers, the lower end monitors are just as good.

We have compiled a few bundles to get you started, we have the affordable Home starter kit at €1,195 incl VAT & delivery, this includes the MEVO as the launch montior. We also have the next step up – the Game Improvement Bundle starting at €2,615 which includes a choice of either the MEVO+ or the SkyTrak launch monitor. To help you make the best decision for you, we have created a comparison chart between the two

5 tips for Winter Golf

Winter golf brings its own set of challenges! 🍂 Facing chilly weather and shorter days? here are 5 top tips for your winter challenges.
Here are 5 top tips to help you stay warm, prevent injury and enjoy winter golf!

🏌️Layer Up: Dressing appropriately is key for winter golf. Layering helps regulate body temperature. Start with moisture-wicking base layers, add insulating layers for warmth, and top it off with a windproof and waterproof outer layer to stay comfortable in various conditions.

🏌️Hand Warmers and Gloves: Keep those hands warm! Invest in quality thermal gloves and consider using hand warmers to maintain dexterity and feel during your swings. Cold hands can significantly impact your grip and control.

🏌️Choose the Right Golf Ball: Cold weather affects golf ball compression. Opt for a lower compression ball in winter, as it tends to perform better in cooler temperatures. This can help maintain distance and feel despite the cold conditions.

🏌️Stay Flexible: Cold muscles are more prone to injury. Begin your round with some dynamic stretches to warm up and maintain flexibility. Take extra care to ensure a proper warm-up routine to prevent strains and injuries in colder weather.

🏌️Plan for Shorter Days: With reduced daylight hours, plan your tee times accordingly. Start earlier in the day to maximize your playing time. Be efficient on the course, and consider playing nine holes if time is limited. Additionally, bring a reliable headlamp or flashlight just in case your round extends into the evening.

Despite the obstacles, winter golf can be a refreshing and rewarding experience with the right preparation! ⛳
